Who We Are and What We Do

The Communications Workers of America (CWA), Local 9421, is a labor Union that represents some 2,000 members in the Sacramento, California region who work at employers such as AT&T Core, AT&T Mobility, Avaya & Avaya Variable Work Force, Gordon Schwenkmeyer Inc and Vision Printing.
CWA Local 9421
is a chartered local of CWA, an international labor Union. CWA, the largest telecommunications union in the world, represents over 700,000 men and women in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, in both private and public sectors, including over half a million workers who are building the Information Highway.

CWA is part of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), which is a voluntary federation of 55 national and international labor Unions. CWA Local 9421 is also an affiliate of the Sacramento Central Labor Council (SCLC), which represents some 160,000 Union members in the Sacramento region from many different Unions (i.e. SEIU, IBEW, CSEA, etc.).
